SHIP CARPENTER'S CHEST

Picture
This carpenter’s tool chest is copied from an antique tool chest my father gave me over twenty years ago. A life-long woodworker and tool collector, my father had a shop full of tools and supplies. When I told him that I signed up to take my first Windsor chair class with Mike Dunbar at the Windsor Institute, he stopped by about a week later with a beautiful old tool chest. He said, I needed a box to store my tools, and that he picked up the tool box long ago at a yard sale on the south shore of Long Island. Over the years, my tool box made several more trips to the Windsor Institute and to other workshops around New England. This tool box is easy to carry, fits in the back seat of my truck, and always receives compliments.
